Omni-Shade blocks ultraviolet A and B radiation (UVA and UVB), helping to prevent sunburn and long-term skin damage, thanks to the dense weave construction, UV reflectors and UV absorption technology. It is different in the case of SPF (Sun Protection Factor), which is a measure of sunburn reduction through the use of a filter, which does not indicate any protection against UVB rays. UVB rays are much more harmful than UVA and reach us even on cloudy days. Omni-Shade technology provides protection against both UVB and UVA rays. Similar to a sunscreen, Omni-Shade technology has a specific number that indicates the level of sun protection. Unlike a sunscreen, Omni-Shade technology does not wear out.
