Omni-Heat™ Helix is a surface covered with dots made of closed-cell foam. Such foam is an excellent insulator, but, as in the case of reflective foil, it does not breathe. Therefore, it is applied in the form of dots so that the spaces between retain their breathable properties. The dots retain heat longer than the base layer material itself. What's more, they add a three-dimensional texture to the construction of the garment, which helps trap a thin layer of air between the body and the fabric. Air, as we know, is also a great insulator. Such thermal underwear is ideal for intense exercise (skiing, trekking, climbing) on cold days.
Omni-Wick® EVAP, thanks to its structure, quickly disperses moisture over a large surface, which accelerates its evaporation.
