Helix Omni-Heat™.
Omni-Heat™ Helix is a surface covered with dots made of closed-cell foam. This foam is an excellent insulator, but similarly to reflective foil, it does not breathe. That is why it is applied in the form of dots, so that the spaces between retain their breathable properties. The dots retain heat longer than the base layer material itself. What is more, they add a three-dimensional texture to the construction of the garment, and this helps to retain a thin layer of air between the body and the fabric. Air, as we know, is also a great insulator. Such thermal underwear is ideal for intensive exercise (skiing, trekking, climbing) on cold days.
